How an appointment works

Booked to sealed, in about half an hour.

  1. 01

    Book with a day's notice

Choose office, the document type, and any open time at least 24 hours out. Upload the document if you have it so I can pre-check the certificate. Your confirmation includes the address and directions.

  2. 02

Come to the Center City office

Close to SEPTA and PATCO; the exact address comes with your confirmation. Text (484) 963-4040 when you arrive and I'll bring you up.

  3. 03

    ID, understanding, willingness

I check each signer's ID, confirm everyone knows what the document is and wants to sign it, and administer an oath if the certificate calls for one. Nothing is signed ahead of time.

  4. 04

    Ink, seal, embosser, receipt

You sign, I complete the certificate, stamp and emboss it, record the act in my journal, and email the itemized receipt. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Zelle or cash.

Pricing

$5 per act. $20 for the room.

Pennsylvania fixes the notarial fee at $5 for the first signer and $2 for each additional name on the same certificate. The office appointment fee covers the space and your reserved time, once per visit, however many documents you bring. It's disclosed before any notarization and itemized on your receipt, as the regulation requires.

Good fits for the office

Anything that needs ink.

Vehicle titles are the classic case: PennDOT needs a wet signature, so they can't be done online. Deeds headed to a recorder that still wants paper, documents for countries that don't accept electronic seals, and anyone who'd simply rather sign in person.
